		<description>This is indeed encouraging.  However, I am trying to raise awareness among the broader community about paid maternity leave and the lack of initiative showen by the government on this issue.  When I have written to female MP&#039;s - either asking them to explain government policy or to those in opposition to keep up the pressure - I have had round about responses which simply tow the party line.  It is great that there is more female representation in parliament - now they need to start reignite debates on issue such as child care, maternity leave, workplace equality etc...I utterley admire women in parliament - I just wish they would stand up and be counted.</description>
