A net increase in three women since last update (16 October 2007) See my website www.annesummers.com.au click on Links, Women in Parliaments for the updated table

Creeping forward! For a while there I thought the increase would be smaller, but Fran Bailey seems to have hung on. Should I be glad or not?
The Senate percentage is unchanged, but the House of Reps percentage boosts Australia from 36th place up to equal 29th with Grenada. See http://www.ipu.org/wmn-e/classif.htm (not yet updated for the 2007 result). Could be a useful link to add?
