Dear Anne, I recently borrowed your book “The Lost Mother” from our local library, and cannot put it down! I find myself referring to the Melways to locate the various sites mentioned, and am thoroughly enjoying the journey with you in your quest for discovery about the various people who have affected your life through these paintings. Many thanks!

    Dear Anne
I stumbled across your book, strangely while searching for ‘Voltaire’s Bastards’ by John Ralston Saul on EBay. The seller also listed your book ‘The Lost Mother’ and it seemed intriguing. Having lost my own mother last year, your book highlighted the strong connections and bonds (and sometimes disconnections) between other women in our lives and perhaps the human need to know more about the who, where and why.

I thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of being part of a great art and family mystery. A beautiful book. Thank you.

I loved your book .I tracked down found things about my mother after she had gone and it is intriguing .I hope you find the other picture .
Last year we toured the Baltic countries , our guide was latvian and we learnt of the dreadful history in WW2 and your story reinforced what we found .
