Dear Anne. Interesting article about the tea-party people. One thing though – I think you’ll find that they certainly don’t call themselves “tea-baggers” – that is a name used for them in a pejorative sense. To a young generation of Americans “Tea-bagging” is a particular types of sexual practice (google it) I’m sure there is no way that the spin-meisters of the tea-party – which folksy-rhetoric aside is entirely a manufactured phenomenon – would let them inadvertently make fools of themselves by calling themselves that.
